ASSOCIATIONS

BIMCO

The Baltic and and International Maritime Council was founded in February 1905, from 112 gentlemen who gathered in Copenhagen to discuss freight rates. Today BIMCO is proud count nearly 100 owners, 1600 brokers and 100 clubs and associates. BIMCO goals are:
– Improving vessels safety
– Fighting maritime crimes, such as security issues, piracy, armed attack, stowaways, drug smuggling etc.
– Improving maritime regulations and regulations.
– Sharing of technical information.

ISMA

ISMA – International Ship Managers’ Association was created in the spring of 1991. Split Ship Management is one of the founding member of this association. Today, ISMA represents ship managers from 10 countries controling a fleet of over 10,000 ships. ISMA’s major goals are:
– To establish universal quality standards for ship management and operation
– To clearly identify ship management as a recognised sector of the shipping industry
– To act as spokesman for the ship management industry, so that its voice is heard on important issues facing shipping.
– To share professional experience and circulate information of common interest to members.

International Ship Supply Association
Association that gathers many ship suppliers and gives them necessary information and help in their work and promotion. It’s main goals are:
– Promotion and distribution of catalogues to members
– Improvement of shipping industry and supply
– Support to members all over the world



CROMA

Croatian managers’ and enterpreneurs’ association was founded in 1990. And today is proud to count 1400 managers. CROMA main goals are:- Transfer the manager know-how into Croatian economy
– Actively participate in developing economy system
– Improving management like a profession.
– Creative management to reconstruct the economy.

HUP

Croatian Employers’ Association
This associations is formd in order to promote and protect the interests of its members. All of it’s members have participated in developing the fundamental legal act – Working manual. It’s main goals are:
– State
– Unions
– Collective contracts
– Public opinions and debates.


CROSMA

Croatian Ship Managers Association
was established in February 2002 with founding members that are 17 ship managers that provide crew or/and technical management. It’s main goals are:
– Protect and develop work and social rights of Croatian seamen and employees in maritime industry
– Organising the relationship towards Croatian government, local authorities and unions
– Offer of expert advice to seamen
– Offer of proper education to seamen.



AMCHAM
American Chamber of Commerce in Croatia
AMCHAM members come from many parts of the business community. AMCHAM has identified various issues that need to be adressed in order to promote a market-oriented economy in Croatia. The main topics of their business are:
– Political-legislative
– Trade liberalization and taxes
– Banking and finance
– Small and medium sized enterprise development


INTERMANAGER

The idea behind InterManager – with SSM Group at its foundation in 1991 – was to improve standards in ship management and achieve a safer, more environmentally conscious, more reliable, and more controllable ship management industry. This continues to be the aim of the Association.

The InterManager Code of Ship Management Standards, the foundation stone of the Association, reflected the highest standards of ship management practice. It was drafted by practical ship managers, and based on the experience gained through their involvement in day to day ship management. 

As an association, InterManager represents the views of its members in international organisations such as IMO and European Union and groups such as BIMCO. InterManager members have a wealth of knowledge and experience in their own fields and it is important that this pool of expertise is tapped.

InterManager acts as a forum for the exchange of information among members, and promotes both the Association and its members on the basis of their pursuit of quality not only within the shipping industry, but also with insurers, port and flag states and the press.

InterManager Mission

  • Establish and maintain the InterManager Best Practice Guidelines as the leading tool for ship managers.
  • Encourage the highest standards in ship and crew management through innovation, creativity, and the sharing of knowledge amongst its members.
  • Provide a forum for discussion on matters of common interest to the ship and crew management industries.
  • Promote the interests of ship and crew management industries in general




IATA

The purpose of Accreditation is to formally recognise travel agents that are authorised to sell and issue international airline tickets. 

Various responsibilities are involved. Primarily, Accredited agents are accepting payments from customers on behalf of the airlines whose tickets are issued. It is essential that customers and airlines can rely on those agents for tickets to be issued according to the required standards, and for payments to reach the airlines in a timely manner. 
The Accreditation process has a set of criteria that need to be achieved. They are global in nature, but may be adapted to meet local requirements.

 

CD – Code diplomatique

Founded in Washington D.C. during the late post-war era, the Corps Diplomatique Intelligence Service received its distinguished mission when Europe’s economy still fought to resuscitate from war depression. Its purpose was, and still is, to promulgate international cooperation through diplomacy, civility and peaceful negotiation. More specifically, to serve the international diplomatic and consular community in their undertakings, be it in important state affairs or in routine missions of courtesy and representation. The Corps Diplomatique does this by furnishing reliable information. Their intelligence service treats all areas and all subjects and its findings are to a great extent available to the public. Since 1962 the Service edits the Code Diplomatique & Consulaire, a source of indispensable intelligence for the world’s accredited corps, for whom each edition provides the essential everyday information. Today the Service has become an highly efficient organization, since 1990 established in and managed from the Republic of Ireland whilst, since the mid eighties, coordinated centrally from Switzerland. With the years the field of action has become ever more encompassing: 
The Service d’Information Code Diplomatique & Consulaire (SICDC) administers three auxiliary commercial services, promoted by the Code : 
– recommendation of commercial enterprises adapted to serve the decision-makers acting on the international scene; 
– recommendation of law firms having a national or an international practice; 
– assistance to the sector of business and trade, by offering an international business opportunity exchange.
