Full Mission Bridge Simulator now upgraded for Search and Rescue Training !


Last year we upgraded the Transas Full Mission Bridge Simulator to the latest version - 4000 - and now we have upgraded it even better so that we can deliver the full scope training in search and rescue operations as per the IAMSAR manual (edited jointly by the International Civil Aviation Organisation and International Maritime Organisation).

Our Bridge Simulator now includes modern types of rescue boats, helicopters, facilities for the search and rescue at sea, combined with communications modelling . These allow training in the use of these facilities and in the coordination of the search and rescue operations in the most adverse weather conditions.

The synchronous recording and playback of the event, the use of equipment and exchange on the air are the most effective means for collective training in the rescue of human life at sea.

At the SSM Maritime Training Centre , you can now train on the latest tecnology with the Transas 4000 Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator (LCHS) !

 

Cargo handling and auxiliary operations simulators are now one of the most effective and practical ways of training personnel of liquid cargo tankers and gas carriers to perform their functions safely and efficiently. The Liquid Cargo Handling Simulator can be used for studying the tanker’s layout, gear and systems. Training in systems and machinery control, the correct performance of cargo handling operations in standard operating conditions and emergency situations is also available.
The simulator is aimed at studying the tanker systems in the framework of standard IMO courses:

Load Control System
The Transas LCHS has a real on-board Load Calculator, the same one which is in operation onboard over 4,000 ships worldwide.The calculations of tanks, hull strength and ship loading in the simulator are carried out by the Load Calculator System. The inclusion of this program has been driven by the recommendation of the STCW-95, B 1/12, i 40 (2,3).
Different Cargo Types
Different cargo types can be selected from the databases implemented in the simulator. These databases have been expanded so that operations are carried out for almost all types of cargo.
Mathematical Model
The mathematical model is superior to the models used in simulators produced by other manufacturers. The math-model allows processes to be accelerated without detriment to physical realism and the training time is reduced.
Graphics User Interface
The interface is optimized for familiarization with the entire system operating principles and for acquiring practical skills in equipment handling. The main tanker units are implemented as 3D objects, showing cross sections of individual assemblies. Computer animation is used to display the current processes.
