D43- Security Training for Seafarers with designates Security Duties-STCW VI/6-2

 

D43 - Proficiency in designated Security Duties course is intended to provide the knowledge required for seafarers with designated security duties in connection with a Ship Security Plan to perform their duties in accordance with requirements of Chapter XI-2 of SOLAS 74 as amended, the ISPS Code and section A-VI/6 of the STCW as amended.

The aim of the D43 - Proficiency in designated Security Duties course is to provide insight into maritime safety and raise awareness of maritime safety, whether the ship is moored in port, during anchorage or sailing. It is also the goal of the course, for participants to recognize, pleasant safety, and to ensure the minimum standards prescribed by the ISPS code, STCW Convention and IMO Model course 3.27.
Upon completion of the course, the participant will receive a certificate of participation, and after successfully passing the exam at the Port Authority Certificate of Competence Special Security Protection Program for seafarers appointed for security duties issued by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Croatia.
