ECDIS is a computer-based navigation system that complies with IMO regulations and can be used as an alternative to paper navigation charts. Integrating a variety of real-time information, it is an automated decision aid capable of continuously determining a vessel’s position in relation to land, charted objects, navigation aids and unseen hazards.

Description:

The simulator training includes modules in modern navigation during normal operational conditions and during dangerous or critical circumstances. All certified training courses conclude with an assessment of the trainee’s performance. This is done through theoretical and practical tests that have to be passed in order for the trainee to be awarded a certificate.
