Target audience:
The course is suitable for persons required to work within confined spaces as well as persons supervising confined space entry.
Course content:
Enclosed spaces onboard ships are often places of serious accidents and fatalities. One of the main reasons of the accidents, according to statistics is failure to follow established procedures – mostly due to insufficient knowledge about safety precautions. The example of a dangerous situation is entering a void space onboard a barge, without checking the atmosphere inside the space before prior to entry.
Course goals:
- Identification of risks and how they are prevented;
- The operation of Safe Systems of Work;
- Personal Protection requirements;
- Use of Breathing Apparatus and emergency escape sets;
- Use of Gas Monitors;
- Confined Space Rescue and Evacuation Procedures;

- Identification card or passport
