TTT - train the trainer

Scope (Target audience) : The course is based on the guidelines of IMO Model Course 6.09 (Training course for instructors). The purpose of this course is to assist training providers and their teaching staff in organising and introducing new training courses, or in enhancing, updating or supplementing existing training materials, so that the quality and effectiveness of the training courses may thereby be improved.

Course content : 

Understand and describe how STCW 95 requires competence-based training
Plan and effective teaching environment
Use a range of teaching methods effectively
Use appropriate training aids
Produce a relevant lesson plan
Evaluate teaching and learning
Design a course of study

Objective : Objective of the Train the trainer course includes the planning and preparation of effective teaching and instruction; the selection of appropriate methods of instruction and teaching materials and evaluation of the teaching and learning process.

Duration: 5 days
