The training is intended to meet the<br \/>requirements set out in The Merchant Shipping (Entry into Dangerous Spaces) Regulations 1988, IMO Resolutions A.864 (20) and the Code of Safe Working Practices for Merchant Seamen. The regulations come into force for ships to which the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) Convention 1974 applies, on the 14 May 2022 and for other ships including fishing vessels, on the 14 May 2023.<\/p><p><br \/><strong>On successful course completion learners will be equipped to:<\/strong><\/p><p>&nbsp;<\/p><ul><li>\u00a0Strict following of ISM Code<\/li><li>\u00a0Recognize potential dangerous enclosed spaces onboard a vessel<\/li><li>\u00a0Complete a typical enclosed space entry Permit to Work<\/li><li>\u00a0Carry out safe testing of an atmosphere prior to entry using typical industry test equipment, including knowledge of its maintenance &amp;amp; testing \/ calibration requirements<\/li><li>\u00a0Carry out a safe enclosed space entry<\/li><li>\u00a0Carry out self-rescue from an enclosed space<\/li><li>\u00a0Carry out the role of a safety attendant<\/li><\/ul><h4>\u00a0<\/h4><p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Entering Into Enlosed Spaces - Practical Training Polygon in Split (Croatia) - UNIQUE In Europe\" width=\"1170\" height=\"658\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/pxjrsuZtUgg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p><p>&nbsp;<\/p><p><strong>The video explains:<\/strong><\/p><p>1)The pre-entry Checks\/Procedures to be followed while entering into enclosed space<br \/>2) The various gas analysis for enclosed space entry<br \/>3) Importance and procedures of filling up Enclosed space entry Permit<br \/>4) Communication procedures during enclosed space entry<br \/>5) Various emergency equipment to be kept on standby at the entry point<br \/>6) Breathing devices used for enclosed space entry<br \/>7) Securing procedure after enclosed space entry<br \/><br \/><br \/><strong>Prerequisite:<\/strong><br \/>Identification card or passport<br \/><br \/><em>After successful completion of the course candidates will receive EST &#8211; Enclosed Spaces Training Certificate.<\/em><\/p><p><br \/><em>* In compliance with the Guidelines the course is completed within one training day.
