A trainee successfully completing this course will be able to use the knowledge and experience gained to overcome the problems brought about by <a href=\"https:\/\/ssm.hr\/en\/course\/ice-navigation-with-simulator\/\">navigating in ice covered seas.\u00a0<\/a> The Polar Code\u00a0is intended to cover the full range of shipping-related matters relevant to navigation in waters surrounding the two poles \u2013 ship design, construction and equipment; operational and training concerns; search and rescue; and, equally important, the protection of the unique environment and eco-systems of the polar regions.<br \/><br \/><br \/><\/p>Course is designed to approach knowledge of: <br \/><br \/>Planning and conducting a voyage in polar water and ice covered seas,\u00a0<br \/>Managing the safe operation of vessels operating in polar waters,<br \/>Maintaining safety of the ship&#8217;s crew and passengers and the operational condition of life-saving, fire-fighting and other systems.<br \/><p><br \/>The Polar Code includes mandatory measures covering safety part (part I-A) and pollution prevention (part II-A) and recommendatory provisions for both (parts I-B and II-B).\u00a0<br \/><br \/><strong><br \/>Duration:<\/strong> 5 days<br \/><br \/><br \/><\/p><p><strong>Prerequisite :\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>Identification card or passport<br \/><p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Note to client :\u00a0<\/strong>After successful completion of the course candidates will receive the Polar Code &#8211;
