Azipod propulsion is a gear less steerable propulsion system where the electric drive motor is housed within a pod outside the ship hull.

Azipod units can rotate 360 degrees, which increasing maneuverability on such level that tugs are not needed, increase operating efficiency of vessel, while cutting fuel consumption by up to 20 percent compared to conventional shaft line systems.

Delegates will receive a certificate upon successful completion of the course. ABB POD – ABB AZIPODS training can be booked via our website or email. We ask all delegates to provide their individual email addresses for enrolment purposes for online trainings. A member of SSM team<\/a> will email you to confirm the enrolment and provide instructions on how to access the course. You will also receive a separate email with attached documentation\/registration\/GDPR<\/a>\/Evaluation\/ which need to be fille, as they are priority for issuing the Certificate.
