Target audience:
Personnel working or intending to work with the slinging of loads. It is also suitable for managers and other personnel who are dealing with offshore and onshore lifting operations.
Course aim
The goal of the training course is to to teach attendants / candidates a complete examination process of in-service portable lifting equipment. The training course also deals with the necessary documentation and different inspection techniques as well as rejection criteria of portable lifting equipment. The participants should also learn how to give an account of what they observed during examination. Inspections, thorough examinations and tests are particularly important for ensuring the safety and reliability of lifting appliances and lifting gear.
Course content
- Different types of Lifting equipment (slings, chains, wires etc.) - proper use, maintenance, inspections, tests, certification, common problems and other
- The methods of inspection and the rejection criteria
- The requirements of test certificates and registers
- Safe system of work
Duration: 3 days
Prerequisite :
- Identification card or passport
