About Our Training Centre
Split Ship Management (SSM) is a privately-owned maritime company established in May 1994. That same year, we proudly launched our Maritime Training Center (MTC). 30 years later, we are proud to be the third-oldest maritime training center in Europe and one of the largest. With a team of 65 highly qualified lecturers, we train over 4,500 seafarers annually.
In 1996, we became the first maritime company in Croatia to earn ISO 9000 certification. Today, we hold the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Certificate and the MLC 2006 Extended Approval issued by DET NORSKE VERITAS. Since 1998, we have also been ISM DOC-certified and are approved by the Panama, Liberia, and Bahamas flags.
Our clients hail from across the globe, including Croatia, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Norway, Switzerland, Singapore, Korea, and the USA. We offer a diverse range of services, including more than 370 training programs designed for crew members.

Our programs are fully aligned with STCW and IMO standards and are approved by the Croatian Maritime Authority, MCA UK, and the UK’s Nautical Institute.

Training Centre currently offers 315 courses, but that number is constantly growing due to market demands and needs of our clients.
It is fully equipped with various equipment for courses from our offer, and also modern bridge and engine simulators
Lecturers in our Training Centre are Masters and/or Chief Engineers with rich sea experience.Most of our courses as organized every week, and it is also important to emphasize possibility of individual (taylor-made) courses for our candidates.
