Target audience:
This training course suits the personnel and candidates with formal training and practical workplace crane operating experience who successfully completed the Offshore Crane Operator Stage 1 training course.
Course aims:
The aim of the training course is to provide the delegate with more advanced training which then allows the operators who successfully passed the course to progress to OCO Stage 2 supervised workplace experience offshore. It will also prepare experienced onshore crane operators for undertaking crane operations in an offshore environment.
Course content
- Theoretical component (understanding of the health and safety legislation, offshore crane terminology, principles of stability, mechanical principles, safety devices, safe working loads, rated capacity indicators, pre-operational checks/shut down procedure etc.)
- Practical component (techniques to contribute to integrated safe systems of work, carry out pre-start checks and inspections, lift transfer and position loads etc.) a

Prerequisite :
- Identification card or passport
- Offshore Crane Operator Stage 1
Note to client :
After successful completion of the course candidates will receive Offshore Crane Operator - Stage 2 certificate.
